Friday, October 30th:
-The Tone portion of Level 0 in the Technique Rhythm & Tone series
These videos will cover the basics of how to start dialing in your tone. We'll discuss things like how to control your guitar and amp, how to use an EQ, what "gain" is, how to use a boost/overdrive/distortion/fuzz, using an overdrive to get a fuller clean tone, and using subtle delay and/or reverb. As of now there will be about 12 videos
Friday, November 6th:
-Songs by Ear submission: "I Spit On Your Grave" Solo by Sinergy
I'll be going through the first chunk of the solo by ear while discussing my approach for finding the notes and getting fingerings in real time. Check out the solo here.
Friday, November 14th:
-Songs by Ear submission: "Vancouver" Solo by Jeff Buckley
I'll be going through the first loop of chords in the song, essentially the first 10 seconds. This will be a good demonstration of figuring out an altered tuning by ear.
