- Triad Overview - We take all of the practice strategies we learned in part 1 and use them to cover the fretboard with a variety of chord types including:
----------
- Minor - Basic shapes, practicing horizontal/vertical/vertizontal/octave jumping, pretend chords, playing over a song, and four Power Ups
----------
- Diminished - Basic shapes, practicing horizontal/vertical/vertizontal/octave jumping, pretend chords, transitional "support" chords, playing over a song, and four Power Ups.
----------
- Suspended - Split into 3 parts:
Part 1 - Basic shapes, practicing horizontal/vertical/vertizontal/octave jumping, and four Power Ups.
Part 2 - Using all three Suspended triads over every chord in the key, examples over a variety of chord types. Strategies to use Suspended to enhance standard maj/min, and how to find shortcuts to these sounds.
Part 3 - We go over a very simple way to find every Sus4/Sus2/Sus7 triad in the key, and then play all of them over a bunch of chord types. A very cool way to enhance the chord you are playing over, and immediately applicable. We then expand on this topic by harmonizing the key with suspended chords, creating what many people call "quartal harmony"
----------
- Augmented - Basic shapes, practicing horizontal/vertical/vertizontal/octave jumping, using over various Dominant sounds, using over Melodic Minor, Whole Tone Scale, and four Power Ups.
----------
- Triad Pairs - We wrap up reviewing triads in Part 2 with an overview of the concept of Triad Pairs. We'll do a quick review of the concept itself, apply all of our horizontal/vertical/vertizontal/octave jumping practice strategies, and then go over a bunch of musical examples and situations where it sounds cool.
